Netflix Cancels Medieval Fantasy Series

Fate Of Season 2 Cliffhanger Up In The Air

Netflix has canceled the medieval fantasy series Cursed, leaving the fate of its cliffhanger ending up in the air.

The series, which premiered in July 2020 with a 10-episode first season, was based on the novel of the same name by Tom Wheeler and Frank Miller. It followed the story of Nimue (Katherine Langford), a young rebel with mysterious powers and a legendary sword, who joins forces with charming mercenary Arthur (Devon Terrell) on a mission to save her people.

The season 1 finale left many things unresolved, including the fate of Nimue and Arthur, and the identity of the mysterious Merlin.

Netflix has not given a reason for the cancellation, but it is likely due to the series' low viewership. According to Nielsen, Cursed was only watched by an average of 2.4 million viewers in the United States during its first week of release.

The cancellation of Cursed is a disappointment for fans of the series, who were hoping to see the story continue. However, it is also a reminder that even successful shows can be canceled if they do not attract a large enough audience.
